Fernando Castello started in the water industry in 1994. He graduated from “RainSoft University” after completing a one week training seminar given at the RainSoft Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
He successfully ran the dealership in Veracruz, Mexico until May 1995. Unfortunately, when Mexico went into a heavy recession by the end of 1994, and the peso lost its value by 100% overnight, it left Fernando with no other choice but to close his RainSoft dealership.
Believing in the company which he had aligned himself with; he went to Denver, Colorado to work for the local RainSoft dealer. It had been the largest RainSoft dealer for the previous 15 years, and Fernando took this as an opportunity to learn from his mentor Don Miller. He worked there for 2 years, and came to Toronto in May of 1996.
He had his mind set on continuing his career with RainSoft, and when the opportunity to work for a RainSoft dealer who had the distribution rights for all of Canada came up, he took it. Fernando moved to Canada in May of 1996, and he settled into working in the RainSoft dealership office in Mississauga. This operation had many managers in the past 5 years, but had not been able to run successfully. So, capitalizing on an opportunity, on January 13th,1997 Fernando purchased the company from Classic Water Systems and that is when Lifetime Water Systems Inc was born.
Within the first year of business, Lifetime Water Systems had become the number one RainSoft dealer in Canada, and by the second year they had become part of an elite group called the “Gold Circle”. A year later they achieved “Gold Circle Tiger”, only the second dealer in Canada reach such a prestigious level.
Since 2001, Lifetime Water Systems has been one of the top 10 world-wide dealers with in the RainSoft family. Fernando has been a proud member of the Dealer Advisory Council since 2005, and is a member of the Canadian Water Quality Association Board of Directors since 2002.
